Hi I'm Paul

I grew up in a small town in Utah, but I don't have a small town mentality and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as the "baby" of the family, with 8 older brothers and sisters, got my Eagle Scout with three Palms, went on a mission to beautiful Bogota', Colombia, South America, attended college, married my sweetheart for Eternity in the SLC Temple and had 4 children, storybook right? It doesn't end there; I am a Physical Therapist and a Financial Advisor and a father to four more adopted children! One from China, one from the Mid-East, One from the Marshall Islands and the last one is Hispanic. We love doing things together as a family; it's almost like we have two families, an older one and a younger more diverse one. I love being colorblind to people. We have an international family. My time is spend working on and with my family, we were all sealed and the younger ones were each sealed in a different Temple. It is not always easy; almost never in fact, but I have discovered that true joy is found in serving and raising a righteous family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon. I was raised as a Mormon since my youth, but I have found that when I strayed, I was not happy. My life would be incomplete if I did not have the Gospel there to answer my questions and the Gift of the Holy Ghost to guide me. There is nothing in this world that is quite as rewarding as raising a righteous posterity. Not that I am doing it, but I am trying, they each are so different and have their own unique set of challenges. Life is never boring at our house, that is unless no one is home! As a Mormon, I am always challenged to do my best, and that is good enough. I am constantly challenged, that is why I continue to be a Mormon. God comes first, then Family and then business. It is how I run my life. I have a sincere love for my Savior and his Gospel, it comes from deep within my heart and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I used to work with 11 year-old boy scouts. Now I teach other men about the conference talks and visit other members in the area to see if there are any ways that I or the Church can help them. It literally gives me a rush when I call and talk with or visit with these members. It leaves me with a good feeling -like I am doing something worthwhile. Just like Boy Scouts, the Gospel in my life helps me to keep things organized and in perspective as I work toward my goals. It starts almost every morning at 6:00 AM with family scriptures (Old Testament right now) and prayer. Once a week I attend the 5:30 AM early morning session at the Temple. Monday nights are reserved for family teaching time and every other task is done with this in mind "Does this choice allow me to keep or invite the Spirit of the Lord, or does it push it away?" If I can to this and keep this good feeling of doing what is right, I know my Father in Heaven will bless me and reward me when I really need it. He already has, many times. He does every day!
