Hi I'm Jill

About Me

I have been married to for 27 years. We have 4 children, our oldest son is attending University and doing an internship. My oldest daughter has graduated as an elementary teacher and expecting her first baby. She and her husband have been married for 3 1/2 years. Her husband is currently working on his degree as well. Our youngest son is on a mission in Japan and will be home in December. He is learning the language, serving the people and growing in his testimony and faith. Our youngest child and daughter is at University and is having fun with college life. I am a realtor and enjoy staging and selling homes as well as working with buyers. I love reading, running, making cards, going for lunch with friends and spending time with my kids. My husband owns a tire store and loves golfing. We love going to movies, traveling and spending time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family and have parents with strong faith. I LOVE MY CHURCH. It really is the center of my life. It's more then just the "church", It's the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowlege of the atonement that are at the core of my beliefs. Also, I know that I am a child of God. That is a great strength to me. I am so grateful for my testimony. It is one of the most precious things to me and I hope my children will also experience this gift of faith.

How I live my faith

People in my business think it's wierd that I don't drink. Actually, I have no desire to drink and I don't see it as a limitation. It's a choice I make because I want to. I really try to do the right thing always. I believe that how you treat others is very important and I try to be kind always. Sometimes it's hard when you've had a bad day but it always makes me feel better if I can help someone smile. I really try to CTR (choose the right) and think WWJD (what would Jesus do). It does make a difference in how I deal with different situations. I believe in giving of your time and helping when you see a need. I believe in prayer and try to read the scriptures daily.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is an amazing organization in place to help women. We don't just attend Relief Society, we belong to relief society. We have spiritual sunday lessons, we have monthly meetings where we have classes or speakers and can socialize with each other. We learn together and teach each other. Most of the things that have helped me be a better mother, wife and person are things I've learned at Relief Society. We also have a visiting teaching program where we are assigned other women to teach and support. We have a partner or companion that we go with and we have visiting teachers that visit us. It's an amazing network and again, a privledge to be a part of this amazing organization. Show more Show less
