Hi I'm Jason

I am a CPA, a Tarheel fan, a husband, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert of the church. I joined in 1996 when I was 19 years old. I now am married and have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 tough girl. I am a CPA and making my own living by the sweat of my own brow. I am a huge Carolina Tarheel fan and love basketball. I also enjoy landscaping, reading business magazines, and being creative.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have come to know of the truth of the Restoration of the gospel on the earth. I was seeking for truth, for answers to my questions that were deemed mysteries in my early years of a Catholic upbringing, particulary about life after death, and the Second Coming of the Lord. After a few visits with the missionaries and as they taught the message of the Restoration, I found the answers to those questions and so many more. My relationship with my Heavenly Father is so much more enriching and so deep and solid now becuase of choosing to hear the message about the Restoration.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a missionary leader for the local congreation. I work with the full time missionaries and the congregation to find those seeking out a family centered, Christ centered church like ours.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Jason
The differences between attending the temple and attending church are the day of the week you attend and the purpose you attend as well. I attend church on Sunday, the Lord's Day. Temples are closed on Sunday so all members can attend church in our chapels. I attend the temple during the week and also Saturday. I go to the temple to seek answers and greater peace in my life. I go there with a prayerful heart looking for answers to the questions and challenges I have in my life. I attend church to renew my baptismal covenant through partaking of the bread and water, learn more about the gospel through Sunday School, and to fellowship with other members on my congregation.
