Hi I'm Jessica Bullough

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently was married and sealed to my eternal companion. I work at a health food store, because I desire to learn more about using natural medicines and herbs to help myself and others. It is also service-oriented, which I love. I like to write with the purpose of helping others to find Jesus Christ and to find hope through Him. I enjoy nature walks in the sunshine, because it lifts my spirits, strengthens my testimony of a loving Heavenly Father, and strengthens my marriage when I walk with my husband. I also enjoy climbing, rappelling, playing in the dirt, smelling the flowers, singing, reading, drawing, and coloring. Cooking with my husband is fun and delicious.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been to other places, and the Church of Jesus Christ - it just feels right. I have felt Christ's love, and it is so strong. Being able to listen to a living prophet that God has called is phenomenal. To think that someone like Moses, Noah, and Abraham, mouthpieces of God, is here on this earth today . . . it's so exciting. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet that restored the gospel of Jesus Christ back to this earth. The Book of Mormon is, indeed, another testament of the Lord, Jesus Christ. I've felt peace in my heart, and I've found joy in my life. The healing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is amazing. It's real. It's for everybody, for we are all tremendously loved sons and daughters of God.

How I live my faith

I just live the best I can. I pray and do what the Lord would want me to do. I go to church, and I love to hear others teach . . . especially when they've prepared with the help of the Holy Ghost. I enjoy participating in all of my meetings. I really like to read my scriptures, look some of the words up in the dictionary to clarify the meaning, and keep some questions in mind for the Holy Ghost to help me to find answers to. The temple is a refuge from the storm, a place to reflect and to find direction and guidance from the Lord. I also share my testimony with others.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Jessica Bullough
The missionaries explain the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ, how a 14 year-old boy was confused about which of the countless churches he should join. Joseph Smith, that boy, decided to search the Bible and found that if he prayed and asked God his personal questions, then God would answer. He had great faith, and thus he went outside in the woods to pray. He saw two distinct personages, God the Father and Jesus Christ, the latter Who spoke to Joseph. Show more Show less
