Hi I'm Andrew.

I'm a TV News Anchor and reporter. I'm a movie buff. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a news anchor/reporter at NBC in Macon, GA. I love my job. I love to be with friends and family; I love movies, sports, art, music, relaxing and helping people!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the Church when I was 8 years old. That decision has blessed my life tremendously. I have learned so much about Heavenly Father's plan for us and how much He wants us to be happy. I have learned and come to know for sure what happens to us after we die and that this life is just a brief step in our eternal existence. That knowledge has helped me tremendously when dealing with the death of a loved one. I was able to serve a mission for the Church in Recife, Brazil. There I spent the best two years of my life and was able to meet some amazing people and help them in their decision to be baptized. When baptized, we are forgiven of our sins and are able to start anew. This is made possible by the Atonement of Jesus Christ, who died for us and suffered all that we would have to suffer for our sins. If He had not done this, we would not be able to return and live with our Father in Heaven ever again. I am grateful for the Savior and for his sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings regularly and try to study the scriptures, including the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and other scriptures available to us. The scriptures help me be a better person and make me happier. Reading and studying the gospel is very important to me. It helps me get through tough times. In the Church, we have something called Home Teaching or Visiting Teaching. Members of the church visit each other and help each other with their various concerns and problems. This helps us become very good friends and be united in the gospel.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Andrew.
We believe that the purpose of this life is to be happy and to prepare ourselves to return and live with our Father in Heaven. We can prepare by living good lives and helping others in their quest to achieve salvation. Show more Show less
