Hi I'm Corey

I love my family. Being with them makes me truly happy. It's great to meet you!

About Me

I mentioned above that I love my family. I can't express enough the joy and satisfaction that I receive from spending time with them. It's interesting - some people say that the most important things about taking time with your children is that it boils down to the quality of the time spent. I would have to say I disagree... I've found that with my children, both quality and quantity matter. I have to think the word "synergy" was coined by someone who had similar feelings.

Why I am a Mormon

Like a lot of members of the church, I was raised by parents who love our Heavenly Father and who tried to teach me correct principles. I felt it was my responsibility to understand His will for me. When I was a teenager I attended a class on the atonement of our savior Jesus Christ. That day I felt that He loved me, and that He paid the price for my sins. I love Him for that, and want to be a better person because of it. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have found the principles and gospel truths I feel he would have me live.

How I live my faith

I feel that living my faith comes down to trying to be a good person and helping others. Not too long ago I heard a friend reference the "Platinum Rule," that is, treating others the way they would want to be treated. Hearing that changed my perspective on how I interact with others. Each of us finds ourselves at a different place in our relationship with God. No matter where we are, He loves us and wants us to be closer to Him. I want to be closer to Him, and enjoy helping others understand how they can be closer to Him as well.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Corey
When the missionaries visit your home they will teach you about the love that our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ have for you. They will share eternal truths of God, including: where we came from, why we're here and where we're going. If you listen to them and pray to ask God that the things they teach are true, He will help you know through the feelings of the Holy Spirit that they are. Show more Show less
