Hi I'm Jared

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to a wonderful woman and we have three young (and beautiful!) children. I work for a government agency. I like reading, photography, and computers...and have plenty of work to do around the house (whether I like it or not!).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe the Mormon church is Jesus's Church and its gospel is true. I believe this because of the powerful feelings I have had as I have prayed and tried to live my life in harmony with the teachings of the Church. Those teachings resonate with me, and they provide me with a vision of beauty and transcendence and the potential of each person. It is an act of faith based on what my heart tells me.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good husband and a good parent (fail at that more often than I like, but always trying to be better). One of the highlights of each month is volunteering at my children's school every other week. Currently I am a financial clerk in my local congregation, which means I help handle donations and expenses for the congregation. I also help out with the children's Sunday classes when they need it.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jared
Yes! I believe familes can live together in Heaven. I believe that it is Jesus Christ that makes this possible. It is one of the delights of my life to know my spouse can be my eternal companion, even after we leave this life. Show more Show less
