Hi I'm Madison

I am a coupon clipping, chocolate loving, children teaching, clumsy person. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent college graduate who loves to read, play games, bake, and travel. I love children. I am married to a fantastic man and I can't wait to be a mother some day. I am doing everything I can to prepare for that day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the true church was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know this through an answer to personal prayer. I know God hears and answers my prayers. I know that that true doctrine is revealed to the Lord's prophet. This was true in Old and New Testament times and I know it is true now. The Lord would not leave us without direction. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and made a plan so I could return to Him. As a Mormon I know what that plan is and what my purpose in life is. This knowledge helps me find joy and comfort in the hardships in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making simple choices every day. I make the choice to choose the right. I choose to make time to pray and read my scriptures. I choose to make time for my family. On Sunday's I choose to go to church. I sing, I listen, I learn, and I serve. I choose to have faith in the people around me. I choose to take time to serve. I choose to learn and become a better person. I'm not perfect, but I am a work in progress.

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is an organization for women over eighteen to learn and grow from one another. The Relief Society meets once a week (Sunday) to learn gospel principles. They also meet occasionally to develop necessary life skills (budgeting, first-aid, food storage) and new talents. Relief Society is a service group that helps people in need all around the world. It is a sisterhood that helps women strengthen and help each other. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is a statement of what we know and what we believe. People gain their testimonies through careful study and the power of the Holy Ghost. I have a testimony, that God loves us and we are His children. I know that because God loves us he provided a way for us to return to him. That way is through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came to Earth to show us how to return to our Heavenly Father. He established the gospel and His church. When He and His apostles were killed the power to run the church, the priesthood, was lost. I know that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet to restore that power. That power is being used to guide The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today. I learned all this for myself, through careful study, pondering, and confirmations from the Holy Ghost. I invite you to do the same. Show more Show less
