Hi I'm Gilbert Lee

I strive to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the Philippines and grew up there most of my younger life. Our family moved to Southern California when I was a teenager. I've lived in Hawaii and am now living in Salt Lake City. My dad is Chinese and my mom is Filipino. I'm married to a wonderful wife (just one, I promise) and have three beautiful girls and the most handsome son. I love spending time with my family and traveling whenever we can. I'm a designer by trade and, of course, love anything design related. During basketball season, you will find me watching the purple and gold :)

Why I am a Mormon

To say that I'm a Mormon because my parents converted is not entirely true. Yes, I went to Church because they did but there was a time when I had to make that decision myself. I wanted to know if the things the Mormon Church teaches were, in fact, true. And it was in that desire to know that has led me to an answer to a prayer.

How I live my faith

For me, being an example to my own family is how I can best live my faith. I want my children to see that I am striving to follow the Savior Jesus Christ in my life even though I may not always be perfect. And to my friends, neighbors, and everyone around me, I live my faith by helping them as much as I can.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Gilbert Lee
Definitely not. Anyone can join the Mormon Church. Baptized, male Mormons who are living righteously may have the priesthood. (The priesthood is the authority given to perform certain ordinances or rites like baptism or blessing of the sacrament.) Show more Show less
