Hi I'm Micah

I'm a latter-day saint or a follower of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am both older and younger than I seem -- I like to have fun, but I have learned wisdom in life through the Gospel of Jesus Chirst. I am a Postal Letter Carrier and a web master. I take care of my wife and sister and do small things to help and contribute to my community.

Why I am a Mormon

My family was broken all in peices when I was a child, so when I had experiences that felt good, I listened. My mother attended church and brought me and over the years. I became commited for myself that the things I was taught there were true. I believe I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and has taken care of me, always. I believe what Jesus Christ has told me by the power of the Holy Spirit. Because of what he has told me I have changed from a lonely selfish youth, to a man full of love and understanding for every one I meet. I feel like Jesus is with me whenever I express my belief in him and do the things he has commanded me to do.

How I live my faith

I do common community service when the opportunities come, such as feeding the homeless with local organizations, helping roadside or otherwise stranded people, and attending city meetings when possible. I regularly serve people at work, too, which makes my postal duties much more enjoyable. I was the Sunday School president in my local congregation, and have served the people of Oklahoma as a missionary in my early twenties, and now I serve in any thing that comes up -- that is no scheduled responsibilities -- such as choir, giving rides, visiting seniors, and more like-wise. As a home-teacher, I and another home-teacher go to people's homes within the congregation to teach them something special every month. This helps us all to grow and discover each others needs that we can possibly help with. I also like to invite people to my home, and when they come for a family study time, they can participate in our study of the Teachings of Jesus Christ.
