Hi I'm Bryan

I am a husband and a father who works as an attorney and who is striving to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, a father of three kids, and an associate attorney in West Texas who enjoys spending time doing things with my family, serving in the Church, being involved in the community, traveling to see extended family, and trying to spend some time golfing and fly fishing when the opportunities arise.

Why I am a Mormon

Because it is who I am. I am a sixth generation member of the Church who has come to know for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly the Savior's Church here on earth. He has again called prophets and apostles to guide me and my family during this life. I am a Mormon because my membership in the Church blesses my life with opportunity, true perspective on what matters most in life, and joy while going through life's daily activities.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by reading the scriptures and praying daily. We do these activities as a family as well. We also have what is called Family Home Evening every Monday night, which is where we gather as a family for a gospel lesson, prayers, songs, activities, and treats. I serve in our ward by teaching the 11 year olds lessons from the New Testament each week, by visiting a few families one time each month, and by helping the leader of our ward with whatever he asks.

What is the priesthood?

Bryan
Priesthood is the authority to act in God's name here on earth. Through the priesthood we do God's work -- we serve others, we perform ordinances like baptism and marriage, and we bless the lives of our family members and those around us. Show more Show less

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Bryan
We dress in our "Sunday best" for Church meetings. I wear a white shirt and tie with a suit. We love holidays. We celebrate the typical American holidays but our favorites are Christmas, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Easter. I also especially like birthdays and love making a big deal about birthdays. We make a special dinner for birthdays and have cake and presents -- fun, fun! Show more Show less
