Hi I'm Joey

I'm a wife, a mom, I work full-time and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my sweetheart when I was 27 years old. We were sealed almost two years later in the new Brigham City Temple. My husband has two children from a previous marriage who live with us. I am so blessed to be a mom. Our non-traditional family takes a lot of patience, balance and learning. We feel blessed to have a home filled with love. Together, we love to read, cook, and explore.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a faith-filled family. My parents taught me how to seek truth and trust in my Heavenly Father's plan. I'm a Mormon because I have been reassured over and over in my heart and mind that Heavenly Father is mindful of me. He knows me and loves me. The closer I am to Him, the happier and easier my life can be. Even through struggles, disappointment, and despair I can feel the love and peace of Heavenly Father and I can trust in my Savior to understand through the gift of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Our ward is a warm and inviting place. The members there have welcomed my family and have showed us lots of love. I love attending Relief Society because the Spirit is always there. On Sunday nights, we like to hold our weekly Family Home Evening where we study the gospel, learn together, and set goals as a family about how he can live more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Joey
We are sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. We belong and are apart of His family. We began there and then chose to come to the earth to be apart of a mortal family unit. Through the test and trials we face on earth, we are can love and depend on our families here on earth while we continue to love and trust, and be loved and trusted, by our Heavenly Father. To be able to live eternally with our Father in Heaven, we must commit to and covenant with an eternal partner here on earth. As we choose to live righteously and endure to the end, we will be blessed to live with our earthly family for all eternity. In addition to the great gospel truths pertaining to the family, I know that all of my happiness, security and safety is first found in my faith and testimony, and second in the opportunity to be apart of a family and to have my own family.
