Hi I'm Sam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 38 years. We have four married children and 14 grand children. I love my family so very much. I taught High School Cabinetmaking and Computer Aided Drafting for 30 years. I also coached tennis and football. I now work as a computer tech for Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold. I like to turn wood bowls and make furniture.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God lives and He loves us. He hears and answers prayers. Jesus is the Christ our Redeemer and Savior. He lived and died for us and he was resurrected and lives today. He loves us and understands our trials and suffering completely. When we are at the lowest times of our lives we know that the Savior Jesus Christ has felt our pains and sorrows and is there to lift us up and strengthen us through our trying times.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by serving others. I have served in our ward or congeration as a teacher of youth and adults, and as a leader. I find happiness in visiting and helping others. I have also served on our local volenteer fire department.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We beleive the Holy Bible to be the word of God. I enjoy reading the Bible on a daily basis and find guidance and answers to prayer as I read and study it. Show more Show less
