Hi I'm Sabrina

I love to hike, work in my vegetable garden, play basketball, and read. I'm a mother and a woman of faith. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 amazing children ranging from elementary to college age. I am married to a wonderful man who loves and supports myself and our family. I have a degree in elementary education and a passion for reading good literature. I have helped with book fairs and in the library in my children's schools for the past 15 years. I love to work in my garden and the joy of harvesting fresh carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, zucchini, lettuce, green beans, and peas...yummy! I enjoy playing basketball when I can find other ladies to play with. I also enjoy participating in sprint triathlons. Living in such a beautiful area has allowed me to spend a lot of time outside enjoying the natural beauty of this world. Hiking and walking are some of my favorite activities. Making whole wheat bread and rolls and crusty artisan bread is another of my loves.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by my wonderful parents who both chose as teenagers/young adults to be baptized. Growing up, they loved and supported me in the things that mattered to me. They attended many basketball games, track meets, cross country races, plays and other school and church functions for me and my 8 brothers and sisters. That love and support helped me realize how important family was to me and that I wanted the same for my own family one day. I know I am a daughter of God, and that he loves me. This knowledge influences the choices I make each day. It helps guide me to look for ways to help others and to improve my small corner in the garden of life. Knowing that I can be with my family as part of God's plan, helps me want to be a better wife, a better mom, a better sister, a better daughter, and a better friend. I choose to live my faith because it brings me great happiness, peace and comfort.

How I live my faith

Raising children who will be the future parents/workers/leaders of this nation and world is the most important and hardest things I will ever do. I try to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ, by serving others and helping my family find ways to participate in helping others as well. I am responsible for training and helping the teachers who teach each Sunday in our women's meeting. Once every few months, I am privileged to teach this wonderful faith-filled group of women.
