Hi I'm Lehi

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am in my late-twenties and have been married for almost 5 years. I am a relatively new patent and i am so grateful for my son and wife. They are a massive support and joy in my life. I am a secondary school geography teacher and I love to help people learn. I speak French as I served my mission for the Church in Belgium and France. I love reading and watching films, especially adventure and real-life stories. My favourite films are the Mighty Duck films and pretty much anything DC and Marvel. I also like to spend time with my friends and family. I really love walking in the country side and love being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church as my Mum and Dad were already members, however it was my choice to stay as a member of the Church during my late teen years. When I was 16 or 17 I remember going on a walk along some cliffs and started talking with my Heavenly Father. When I was walking and praying I remember looking at the wonderful nature around me and feeling so at peace, and I remember feeling an immense love that God had for me. I think before this I believed that a God existed, however it was just a simple belief because it was what I was taught, however after this event I KNEW that God was real and loved me. When I was on my mission my testimony of Joseph Smith grew immensely. From reading the Book of Mormon and following Moroni's promise I felt the Spirit confirm to me that Joseph Smith was truly a Prophet of God, who restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ on earth for the last time. From prayer and also reading the Book of Mormon I came to know something even more important, and that was that Jesus Christ is my personal Saviour, the Son of God. Through personal experience I know that the only way to feel true peace and joy, and to receive forgiveness of sin is through Jesus Christ. I am still a member of this church because I know its teachings are from God and are the same teachings that Christ Himself taught here on earth. I also know that this church is the only church on the earth that has the Priesthood which is necessary for the salvation of Gods children. The only way I know these things are true is because I have prayed to God and received and answer from Him through the Holy Ghost. Also through study of the Bible and Book of Mormon I know the things taught are true and important for every living being on this earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best everyday to serve those around me. I always look to for ways I can help people to feel like they are special and unique in the eyes of God. I am currently the young men president of my ward and so i work closely with the 12 to 18 year old young men. I love this calling as it helps me to show these young people that they are children of Heavenly Father. I help to organise activities that help these young people grow socially and spiritually together. Every day is a battle to live my faith, however everyday I try my best to read the scriptures and pray, but also I attend church every week and attend any events organised. These events help members to get to know each other and also to discuss problems and questions we may have.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that family is the most important unit in the Church. Family is everything to Mormons. We believe that family relationships are eternal, and will not end at death. We also believe in putting family first, above anything else. Family is key to the education and upbringing of children. We believe that the degradation of the family unit will only bring sorrow to society. Show more Show less
