Hi I'm Ryan

I love food and road trips. I'm a collegiate athlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of four kids in a great family. I graduated from BYU in mathematics and ran 4 years as a varsity track athlete. I love spending time with friends, watching sports, playing board games, or going on road trips. I also enjoy singing, playing the piano and guitar, and running. My greatest satisfaction comes when I feel like I've made a difference in the life of another person.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family. However, I came to a point where I had to know personally if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormon faith, is true. I received a personal witness from the Holy Ghost that it is true. I have since continued in the faith because I know that my salvation comes from Jesus Christ and my relationship with Him and God the Father.

How I live my faith

I try to live with integrity in all that I do. I strive to be kind and thoughtful in my interactions with others. My family is a priority in my life and I would hope that I treat them as good or better than anyone else. I feel myself drawing closer to Jesus Christ as I try to follow His example of serving others, whether it be playing the piano at a rest home, singing songs of comfort to sick people in the hospital, or visiting a friend in need. Because my faith in Jesus Christ and the principles in His Church have brought me happiness, I hope to share it with all people that I know.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Ryan
In my own personal life, it is through answers to simple prayers. Some people think of big, dramatic experiences as evidence, but most of mine have been answers to a prayer that I've had that nobody else knew about. On the flip side of the coin, I know there is a God when I have impressions to go visit someone who I haven't seen in a while, then find out that my visit was an answer to a prayer. It's one of the most humbling and amazing feelings--both to know that there is a God and that He is aware of me and cares about me, and to be an instrument in God's hands. Show more Show less
