Hi I'm Vance

I am a graduate student. I am a new father. I am a Mormon.

About Me

When I am not busy trying to meet the demands of my graduate school adviser, I love spending time with my newborn son and amazing wife. I also enjoy playing basketball and soccer, reading a good book, and being in the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it brings me close to my Savior Jesus Christ. As I seek to live the principles taught by Jesus Christ in the Bible and Book of Mormon, I am a happier person.

How I live my faith

Living my faith brings meaning to my life. I direct the Sunday School in our local congregation and also teach once a month. I try to make my faith an everyday experience by making prayer and scripture study a part of what I do throughout the week. It brings clarity to how I see the world and enriches my experiences at school and home.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

We believe that the grace of our Savior Jesus Christ is essential to all mankind's salvation. Simply put, without the grace of Jesus Christ, all would be lost. We also believe that God requires us to do all that we can to follow his commandments. Show more Show less
