Hi I'm Anna

I have chickens and an iPhone. I'm a wife, a mother of 4 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Northwest of the United States. I am married to a British expatriot and we have four children. Before I had children, I studied Music Dance Theatre in college and spent time performing in the national tour of a broadway musical. I now am a full time Mom and a true partner with my husband. I believe everyone has a specific purpose in this life that only they can fulfill. My purpose, or mission, involves making strong choices in regards to my roles as wife and mother. I thought motherhood would be more intuitive, but have found it is a talent I am learning and developing. And as I improve at this talent, I feel confirmation that this is the most important and influential thing I could be doing at this time of my life. Even though where we live I am in the minority as a stay at home mom, I feel confident in this decision, and I feel responsibility as I know I am being observed in this choice. I feel joy as I improve in the skills of motherhood and I know I am truly impacting lives for good, and forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe God can answer prayers, and He has answered mine. I have asked my Heavenly Father questions about the truthfulness of this church, the truthfulness of modern prophets and The Book of Mormon. I have received answers in the affirmative. And amidst trials of faith, I have felt the assurance that God is there and He has a plan for me. I have also witnessed the cause and effect relationship between following the commandments, and increasing in faith. "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God , or whether I speak of myself." (John 7:17)

How I live my faith

I am currently serving the children in our congregation in what's called Primary. Each Sunday, I get to spend two hours with children ages 3-11 and teach them and sing songs with them. I spend time during the week preparing what to teach, praying that it will invite the Holy Spirit during our time together. While teaching them, I have felt the Holy Ghost impress on my heart how strong these children are and how the Lord loves every single one of them and values each one equally, and individually. These children need to be strong to live clean lives amidst confusion, and they are strong.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Anna
"Everything denotes there is a God." This beautiful world, all the creations on it, the way the planets are organized: For me, all these things are testimonies of a Supreme Being, a Creator. Also, I have felt the difference of faith and light, versus darkness and confusion. I have felt the forces behind these feelings. I know that goodness and light come from God. I know that life has purpose, meaning and that my choices matter, because there is a God, and He has a plan for our happiness. Show more Show less
