About Me

Hello profile visitors! My name is Matt. I was born and raised in Northern California but I currently reside in Utah with my wife and son. As of now I am studying Mathematics in college and working in Marketing. I enjoy all sports, but my favorites are Wrestling, Golf, and Table Tennis. My other hobbies include Web Design and Marketing, Reading, Working Out, Scouting, Cooking, and Movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church answers all the important questions and gives purpose to my life. I was raised a Mormon, but as I became older I had to figure out if this was the true way. By studying and praying to God I found out that this church is His church. Now I know what things I must do to be happy in this life and to return to live with God after. Through this church I am taught how to be saved by Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. I am taught how to have my family with me forever. I am taught how to receive God's blessings and support. I am taught where I came from and what I can become. It is a wonderful thing to know that this knowledge exists. I am also a Mormon because this church is the only one that has the authority of God, called the Priesthood. It allows us to perform acts such as baptism and have them valid before God. This authority also allows us to bless people, lead in the church, and marry people for time and all eternity.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints I 1. Try to live the standards set forth by the church leaders and the scriptures we study. This includes praying, studying scripture, attending church meetings, serving in the church, and keeping the commandments. 2. Serve as secretary to the Elders Quorum. 5. Visit a group of families each month to share a short message and to see if they are in need of anything. This is called Home Teaching.

What is faith?

Faith is believing in something without knowing everything about the situation. In our church we have Faith in Jesus Christ because He is the One who can save us from our sins. Do we know how He does it? No. We only know that He suffered and died for us so we could repent. Our Faith is shown in following His commandments and repenting, and knowing that He will forgive us and take care of the rest. Show more Show less
