Hi I'm Brett Peterson

I'm a Website Developer, Entrepreneur, Sports Enthusiast, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 3 wonderful children whom I love with all my heart. One of my favorite hobbies is to make websites and apps, and I am fortunate to have work where I get to do what I love. I am a rabid sports fan, and love to play games of all kinds.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was in college, I did some soul searching to find out who or what I wanted to become. I also struggled mightily with what I truly believed in. I was more interested in being happy than I was in knowing if the church was true or not. I prayed many nights for God to help me find a path in life that would make me most happy. One night, a scripture in the Book of Mormon struck me as an answer to my prayers, Mosiah 2:41. In this scripture, the prophet King Benjamin reminds his people that those who keep the commandments are blessed in all things in their lives, and will one day find themselves in a state of never-ending happiness. As I thought about this scripture, and about my life, I realized I was most happy when I was living according to the teachings of Christ, the church, and its prophets. I am Mormon because it helps me and my family come closer to God and closer to each other, and that makes me happy!

How I live my faith

I meet with missionaries every week to assist them in their work. I visit families in my community to answer questions, to testify of things I know to be true, and tell of things that have helped me in my life to find happiness. I am part of a committee that organizes a multi-faith Christmas choir each year.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Brett Peterson
Mormons are taught to love God, and to love their neighbor. We are also taught that we are all sons and daughters of God, and we need each others help. Mormons will do their best to help those around them, whether they are Mormon or not. Mormons actively seek opportunities to serve and help those around them and also are encouraged to donate generously to provide funds to help the poor and those in need. Show more Show less
