Hi I'm Kelly

I'm a Mormon. I love knowing my Heavenly Father lives!

About Me

I love traveling, especially to our LDS historic sites. I enjoy being in new places and getting to know the local culture. I love the Book of Mormon and learning more about our church history. I am a very optimistic and happy person, and have learned that if I can dream something up, I can also make it come true. The best thing that ever happened to me is marrying my eternal companion in the House of the Lord, the Temple. He is my best friend, the best example and I know I am the most blessed girl in the world because he is mine for eternity!

Why I am a Mormon

I have learned for myself that the Restoration of the Gospel is real, that our Heavenly Father lives, and that we have a living prophet today to lead us. I know this to be true more than I know of a certainty of anything else.

How I live my faith

I know the best way to live my faith is by example. I enjoy serving others any chance I can and love to be of service.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Nothing is secret about the temple, only sacred. There are many sacred events that occur in the temple. One of the most amazing privileges we have In the temple is to bind families together for eternity. This knowledge that families can be together forever is so comforting to me. Show more Show less

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Each year, on July 24, we celebrate Pioneer Day. This day is in commemoration of July 24, 1847, the day that Brigham Young and Latter-day Saint pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley. The pioneers entered the Salt Lake Valley in search of a safe haven after being forced from areas back East. They sacrificed much to make the journey to the Salt Lake Valley and on Pioneer Day we honor them. Show more Show less
