Hi I'm Laura

I love mountain biking and triathlons. I'm a marathoner and a mom of four wonderful children. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In 2008 I weighed 320 pounds. I felt worthless although Jesus Christ had always been a part of my life. After struggling to lose weight, I finally discovered how to appreciate myself. Now I am happy in a way I never dreamed possible.

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I was a Mormon because my parents were Mormons, but it has become more than that. My faith has been tested many, many times. I am a Mormon today because I know this gospel is from God.

How I live my faith

I work with boys in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouting programs. I am also in charge of planning monthly activities for all the moms, grandmothers, and women in our neighborhood.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is like being a regular person with individual flaws, problems, good days, likes and dislikes, friends, dreams, and daily possibilities. But with a gospel perspective, which reaches beyond this life, troubles become opportunities, and love, the ultimate power over all things. Show more Show less
