Hi I'm Gloria

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am am mother of eight children. I have gone back to school to finish the college education I started long ago. I am writing a middle grade novel and working on a screenplay. I love to write, but my favorite thing to do is to get to know people, and spend time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I knew there was a God, and that Jesus loved me. I felt a sweet peace in my chest when I prayed. I felt the power of the Holy Ghost direct me for good, and I felt joy in serving others and sacrificing for their benefit. I longed to serve God. I enjoyed going to church. As a college student I continued attending church and worked to apply the Gospel in the situations before me. When I moved to Arizona, I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through conversations at my work. I was curious about the "Mormons." I’d never heard of them before. I learned about the Church from missionaries and received answers to my own prayers that what I was learning was true. I was baptized. The beauty of this whole experience for me is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Every mistake will be corrected; every wrong righted: beauty for ashes as Isaiah teaches in Isaiah 61:1-3. Today I live to love God - that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to show my love for my God through every act of my life. Right now I work in the daily seminary program, which is a religion class for high school students. I try to teach my own children what is best. Since I am a returning college student, I have a lot of chances to talk about what I believe.
