Hi I'm Bennie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired and a disabled Vietnam Veteran. I spent over 40 years working in the automobile dealers. I was in management and just really felt privileged helping people. I spend most of my doing family history research. I also involved with the Vietnam Veterans of America group. We try to do a lot to help other veterans. I just love collecting old pictures of the family. I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes and wildlife. It is just amazing after retirement that I am busier now than when I was working. It is just a different kind of work. I enjoy helping with the many different programs that the church offers. Our family is very blessed every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. Back in the 1880’s one of my ancestors joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He actual moved with a group of Saints to southern Colorado. Later my grandmother was very instrumental in the church being in my life she made her home available for a church service in rural West Tennessee. This made the church available for my parents. I tell all this to get to my point. What my ancestors did was wonderful example for me but at a point in my life I had to decide for myself about the church. I can tell that I know that the church is true and that me and my family have been very blessed for being members of the church. I can tell you that the church is a working church. I enjoy being involved in the programs of the church. I know that I am much better off by being a member of the true church.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith daily by helping people. In our society there are many people that just need someone to talk to. It is blessing for me to help others. You can help in many ways. A lot of the time a phone call will change the whole day for a person. I have help many people learn about their ancestors. It gives me great joy to help someone find out about their ancestors and what they did back then to provide for their families. Above all you need to have a daily prayer to be thankful for what you have accomplished.
