Hi I'm Ethan Wayne

About Me

Hi, I'm Ethan. I'm 21 years young, but I still manage to stay rather busy. I am part of a large family including mom, dad, and I am the fourth of 6 children. Although we are now spread out all over the country, we try to stay as close as possible. I love to learn, almost no matter what about. The challenge to learn more, whether it be spiritually or intelectually, is something I will always be a part of. I am currently studying Business management in college, and anticipate graduating in the near future. I like to be friends with everyone, and love to meet new people. With my free time, I enjoy cycling; all types, both mountain biking as well as road biking. I also love to teach, and really enjoy working with young people.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I am a mormon because i have felt, and now know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seriously, Christ's church on earth. l am Mormon because I have decided to and promised God that I will keep his commandments, and represent and remember always Jesus Christ. It should not come as any surprise that I was not born with this knowledge or desire to follow Christ. When I heard friends and family proclaim their knowledge about Christ's restored church, I often pondered what that implies. If it were to be true, it meant I had a duty. Why would it be any different for me now, than it was for those who heard the voice of the Lord over 2000 years ago. I felt a strong impulse from deep in me to gain a stronger witness of the truthfullness about many things. I started with the Book of mormon. I came to the conclusion that if I knew 100% that it was true, the I could then know many other things. So that was my starting point, and slowly, after much reading and praying about the Book of Mormon I finally experienced the answer. My life was evident of the answer I had recieved. While reading, I had search for things to apply, teaching that I could benefit from, and that is exactly what I found. While reading the book of mormon, each day was becomming simply a little brighter, a little better than the prior, and I believe it was a direct result of my quest for a personal testimony.

How I live my faith

Other than doing my best to live a righteous life, there are lots of things I do to live my faith. Each week in church i teach a Gospel prinsiples class which is for all people who are new and visiting. We discuss the basics to the gospel like faith in Christ, repentance, baptism, and living righteously until the end of our life. I also live my faith by trying to invite everyone I know to find out for themselves if God has really restored His ture church on the earth.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Ethan Wayne
The book of Mormon is a book written hundreds of years ago, but intended for you and me in our day and age. The authors were ancient prophets of God who lived in the Americas. One of the main purposes of the Book of Mormon is to help all of us, no matter who we are, to develope faith in and a personal testimony of Jesus Christ. A compliment of the Holy Bible, the Book of Mormon contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My experience while reading it is that there is a wonderful testifying power that comes from the Spirit of God that tells me that it is true. That wonderful feeling is the groundwork of my growing testimony gives me courage to do what is right no matter the circumtances. Show more Show less
