Hi I'm Jennifer

My name is Jennifer. I was born in Canada but raised in the states. I a wife & a mother to 6 angel children. I love my life.

About Me

I am a mother to 7 fantastic people who sprinkle my life with great goodness. Motherhood is an exquisite blessing to me with that bring me marvelous peace and joy. My life as I know it, is filled to the brim with people that need to be played with, cooked for, chauffeured, comforted, counseled, forgiven, taught, cried with, laughed with and loved. There is little time for much other but my life is also RICH, rich with love and things of eternal significance. Besides being a mother and wife, there are other things that bring joy into my life. A few of those pastimes include writing, journaling, cooking, baking, sewing, photography, organizing, genealogy, serving others and being in the outdoors with my family. I love date nights, movies, den parties with my kids and back rubs. I love to learn and have a growing stack of books, one day I’d like to read :) I feel I am naturally a happy person but much of the deep, meaningful, peace and happiness that I experience daily, comes from the knowledge and enthusiastic testimony I have of my loving Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ. I am aware of His presence in my life and feel His sustaining power in all that I do. I acknowledge all of my blessings come from above. The ultimate blessings will come in the eternities, a space in time I am yet to understand. I am grateful for my life, it is wonderful (hard but wonderful) and everyday is a gift to which I am eternally grateful to have.

Why I am a Mormon

The thought of writing something that might possibly convey the abounding spirit that resides within me seems inadequate, for there are insufficiencies beyond measure to describe the things that I know to be true. Everyone has a "story", mine is eventful, full of successes, failures, heartache and pain, happiness and joy. Life is filled with many hard choices, mine has been no exception. I have had trials of every kind and challenges that I wish were not there, but to me, that is in part what makes life magical. The gospel of Jesus Christ illuminates my understanding and my ability to accept those experiences and through that lens, I am happy... even euphoric at times. Living the restores gospel of Jesus Christ is a choice and everyday when I roll out of bed, I am filled with gratitude spilling over for the the blessing of having such a choice. (“Choose you this day whom ye will serve; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Josh. 24:15.) Being a Mormon for me is synonymous to being happy. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a marvelous package of answers. Though I do not know or understand all things, I know and understand enough. The peace, happiness and joy that comes through living this gospel is paramount to any other combination of successes. I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I know it is true and it is a happy peaceful feeling that grows brighter and brighter each and everyday. I love this quote "I believe in Jesus Christ like I believe in the sun at noon day, not because I can see it, but because by it, I can see everything else.”~C.S. Lewis

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday as I interact with the people in my life. Living my faith is more fully enjoyed through the small and simple things. I ma far from perfect and I make a choice everyday to follow My Savior Jesus Christ who was the ultimate exemplar of how one should treat others. I strive earnestly to walk in his footsteps. Being kind, honest, patient and loving to those in my life help me to feel closer to my Savior. I have many friends in the community in which I live that are of other faiths. They are great people that I love dearly. Being the best kind of friend to those I love and even to those I don't, are ways in which I live my faith. I live my faith by serving others. Though I am a busy mother of a large family, I feel very strongly about being involved and connected and serving others with love, especially as a family helps us all feel closer to our loving Father in Heaven. I serve within my church, I serve in my community and I serve those in my family. Living my faith, is striving every day to do a little better and be a little better.
