Hi I'm Hunter

I'm a full-time student and a Professional Building Cleanliness Specialist. I'm a husband, a friend, a brother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm lucky enough to be married to my dream girl and best friend. We enjoy spending time together watching movies, going camping, or just resting from everything that's going on everyday! By day, I'm a full-time student. By night, I'm a Professional Building Cleanliness Specialist (Custodian :) at an elementary school. I've served a mission to Guatemala, and love the people I could meet and serve while there; they taught me so much! We just work and study and do what we can to save up for our future family, and to prepare for whatever may come our way in life.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife and I were both born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and are so grateful for that. We choose to live as members of His church for so many reasons. Growing up was pretty standard for me; being the oldest of 4 kids, I usually felt a greater weight to be an example to my younger siblings. The knowledge that they did, in fact, look up to me didn't scare me, but helped inspire me to be the best I can. As I grew, and learned more of the doctrines in the Church, I began to understand my role as a child of God, and His desire to see me again in His presence. Knowing this, and knowing so many plain and precious truths taught in the Bible and The Book of Mormon, helped me to grow closer to God over the years, and helped me to do many great things. As I studied, the Holy Spirit sent me small, simple reassurances that the things I was learning were true; usually in the form of calming, warming feelings in my heart, or even an overall sense of peace. This helped me grow to the point where I served a two year mission to Guatemala, and eventually married in the Temple to my beautiful wife. We are members of His church because of the blessings that we see from following His Plan of Happiness, and the clarity of the doctrine that has been taught in ancient times, as well as by Prophetic revelation in these days. I know this church is true, because I have studied and prayed to know it for myself.

How I live my faith

We now do everything that we can to do His will. Each Sunday we attend our church services, and participate in the lessons taught every Sunday. Sometimes we comment in discussions to learn more, or other times we teach the lessons and lead the discussions; both manners help us gain a greater understanding of the Gospel topics we study, and helps us know better what God would have us do. When not in church, we attend our Institute of Religion offered at our college campus. This is such a beneficial way to learn and put in to practice the principles of the Gospel, as we attend two or three times a week. As a student, I can say that life can get a little overwhelming at times, with school, work, or anything else that requires your time, but I can say that attending Institute always helps me have a greater peace and happiness throughout the week, even when school is at its most difficult.
