Hi I'm Jason

All-state cross country runner. Mountain biker. Mormon Missionary.

About Me

I'm a Mormon missionary in Scotland. I've been 10,000 miles away from home for nearly two years now talking to people in the street, knocking on people's doors, and teaching them in their homes because I know what I have to share is - it is Jesus Christ's truth, and it absolutely changes people's lives. Before I left home I was a top rated cross country runner and an avid mountain biker. When I get back I plan to attend university, marry, and start up a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a strong Mormon family in Arkansas, Missouri, and Utah. I was one of three Mormons in my elementary school, and one of those was my older sister. I'm a Mormon because my parents taught me the right thing to do and I had enough faith in their advice to do it. In Proverbs, it says that if you raise your children in the right way they will not depart from it, and I guess that's my story. In the Gospel of St. John, Jesus says that if any man would do the Father's will, he will know of the doctrine (truth), whether it came from God or it came from Christ's imagination (John 7:17). I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's church because I've lived correct principles and I've been able to feel in my heart the approval of my Father in Heaven as I have done so.

How I live my faith

For the last two years I have very publicly lived my faith by fulfilling Christ's command to preach the gospel to all the world - I'm that guy in the suit with a badge that calls by at just the wrong time and is sharing something most people aren't interested in. BUT, I know that there are people out there that need the healing that comes from Jesus Christ, so I live my faith by putting myself WELL out of my comfort zone to offer the only thing that has made me (and will make others) eternally happy - the true gospel of Christ.
