Hi I'm Joseph

I'm a Mormon. I am a Mission President for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in upstate New

About Me

I'm a father of eight children, grandfather of 30. My wife and I have been married for 47 years and have wonderful experiences in raising our family, teaching them about life, sharing adventure and worshiping our Father in Heaven. We love to boat, snowmobile and hike. We love to campout in the great outdoors, and enjoy good food. We currently live in Whitesboro, New York serving as a Mission President overseeing about 200 missionaries serving in up state New York, declaring the beliefs and inviting others to come unto Christ. Each Missionary come at his or her's own expense for two years. Missionaries are in pairs and live in many areas of New York from Corning to Plattsburgh, Massena to Albany, Syracuse, Binghamton, Elmira, Owego, Utica, Herkimer, Oneida, Greene, Norwich, Hamilton, Cooperstown, Delhi, Ithaca, Cortland, Watertown, Ogdensburg, Gouvenor, Potsdam, Malone, Lake Placid, Lowville, Carthage, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, Bennington, VT., Hudson, Greenwich, Glenville, Schoharie Valley, I share my Testimony of The Lord Jesus Christ, He is my Savior and Redeemer, my advocate with the Father, who atoned for our sins and provides the way for each of us to enter back into the Kingdom of God. We also declare there are living prophets on the earth hold the priesthood authority and keys relevant to the Salvation of man. We also testify that in addition to our belief in the Bible, we testify that Book of Mormon is another witness of Christ and blesses our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to my ancestors who embraced the Gospel in other lands, who sacrificed by giving up their comfortable living, to emigrate to Utah. My parents set an example of love and support to me in everything I entered into. When I made mistakes, they corrected me, they taught me correct principles , and allowed me to make choices. I had to seek for a knowledge of the Restored gospel through study, by example of others, and through fasting and prayer. I have come to know that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in these latter days and that we have living prophets, men of God, who through inspiration and revelation from God, direct the Church today. I am grateful to serve and pray that my example will bless the lives of others to show them the happiness that comes as we embrace the truthfulness of the Gospel. I know that God lives, that Jesus is the Christ, that the holy priesthood is upon the earth and that the covenants are available to all who prepare themselves worthily to recevie them. I believe in the living prophets and sustain President Thomas S. Monson as a prophet, seer and revelator. I bear that testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to serve in many capacities in the Church, all of which have allowed me to grow personally and to serve others. Teaching, blessing, supporting, and lifting people. I live my faith to show my love for Jesus Christ, for His teachings, His example, and His atoning sacrifice that allows me to prepare myself for the blessings promised through obedience to the commandments. I love to Home Teach members, to share my testimony, to support them in their times of need, and to bear their burdens. My wife and I love to work with the youth of the church and have had many wonderful experiences with them. We have recently been called to be a Mission President assigned to a mission in the U.S. which we are excited and humbled for the mission to start.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

As a member of the Church through baptism and then confirmation, we are blessed to recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost. In receiving this gift, we enable ourselves to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost, to allow the Holy Ghost to be the testator, the comfortor, the mediator and bring to our remembrance the things we need to know and to understand the great blessings that come from being faithful in practicing our beliefs.  Show more Show less
