Hi I'm Kayla Michelle

About Me

Hello there!!! I'm a senior at a University with a major in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Family Studies. I truly love learning about families and how to make them stronger. I know that family is so important and want to help others in their families so I'm going to be a marriage and family therapist. I usually am studying or working, but I certainly like to have fun and hang out with friends and family. I am learning to play the guitar and sew. That's pretty much me in a nutshell.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always grown up in this church, some of the time our family did not live it however. There came a time in my life when I truly had to decide for myself if I would follow this for my whole life or if I would go another way. This time came at a trying moment in my life. My parents were getting ready to go through a divorce and all my morals and beliefs were truly shaken. I realized and that exact moment that I do have a Savior Jesus Christ who loves me and has suffered for not only all my sins, but also my trials and afflictions. It was then I realized I would be a happier person if I held strong to the Gospel of Jesus Christ especially in my times of hardship. This life is a time to be tried it is much easier to deal with if we have a never failing faith to help us through it.

How I live my faith

Well, I served a full-time mission for my church for a year and a half. What I did is I went out everyday and tried to find people and teach them about the truth the gospel of Jesus Christ. There are many questions each of us may have like; "where did I come from?", "why am I here?", and "where am I going?". The restored Gospel of Jesus Christ answers all of these questions. That's what I was able to do everyday is help others understand more about our purpose in this life. I strive to be an example to others and live what I believe daily, I know I'm not perfect and will mess up but as long as I have the desire to do what is right I can ask for forgiveness and strive once again to be better.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Kayla Michelle
Our bodies are truly gifts from God. Think about it... they work so perfectly together. Our bodies are called temples of God because they are the dwelling place for our spirits. A temple is a place for God to allow the spirit to dwell. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

We believe that families can be eternal. We can truly experience the most joy in our families if we all love each other and lift each other up! Show more Show less
