Hi I'm Liz

I'm a pianist, a mother and a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent graduate with a master's in piano performance, a piano teacher, a mom and a grandma. I like making quilts, playing volleyball, biking, traveling, and relaxing by a river. I'm learning to speak Spanish and play the ukulele.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the church and learning about the Savior has given me comfort in my life, through all the ups and downs that happen. I feel peace knowing that God loves me and cares about me individually, as he does all of His children. I read the Book of Mormon, prayed to know if it was true. I received an answer from the Holy Ghost that it is a true book of scripture. I have also come to know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that God is my Father, and that He loves me. As I follow His teachings, I feel God's love and support in my daily life.

How I live my faith

Reading the scriptures regularly helps me feel closer to God, and learn more about Jesus Christ. I play the organ for Sunday worship services. I feel grateful to have the opportunity to participate and contribute. I also teach Sunday lessons to the 18-month to 3-year old children. It's so much fun working with children and helping them learn about Jesus Christ and their Heavenly Father.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is the Church auxiliary group for the women ages 18 and older and is the largest women's organization in the world. Relief Society meetings are held each Sunday for 50 minutes, and usually include a lesson and discussion about a topic of church doctrine. Other periodic meetings are also held during the week about topics to help support women's roles as mothers, wives, community members, citizens, etc. The Relief Society motto is "Charity Never Faileth", because the mission of the Relief Society is to help those in need. I love Relief Society because it helps support me as a wife, mother and as a woman and has enriched my life. I have also enjoyed making friends and have had a lot of fun along the way.
