Hi I'm Mike Krimme

I grew up in the mid west, living in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, and oh yeah Alabama. I'm a Mormon and have found joy.

About Me

I am a husband of 1, father of 4, and a grandpa of 13 so far. It seems that each time I count there is another one on the way. It makes it hard to keep up with family pictures. I have a business, but my focus has always been on my family. I do like to fish, camp, play golf and racquetball. My wife and I also love to take walks and visit our family. As a young father, I always thought that being a parent would be easier after our children were grown and married, but boy was I wrong. The responsibilities seem to enlarge. The funny thing is that I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

As far back as I can remember, I have always believed that there is a God. I grew up attending the Methodist Church. My wife, who I first met in the fourth grade and attended the same church, joined the Mormon Church after she moved away with her father. We both came from divorced families. When I was a senior in high school I saw her again and after a few months we started dating. It was during this period that I first became acquainted with the Mormon faith. It wasn't until we were married and expecting our first child that I started to seriously think about raising a family. Religion was something that I knew would be important, but quite honestly, I didn't know much about the subject. It seemed that whenever I had a serious question about doctrine that the answer was confusing or was just put off. After an invitation to visit with the Mormon Missionaries I decided to see what they were about and really study their teachings. The opportunity came because I was transferred to a small town where my work hours were much less then normal, which I came to recognize was by the Lord's hand. Once I started to LISTEN to what I was being taught, study the Book of Mormon, and praying about its truthfulness, I could not deny it. The greatest of all the blessings that I heard was that I could be with my family for all eternity, not just for this life. Since then I have come to understand so many of Heavenly Father's other blessings for us, especially His perfect love for us and how much he wants us to return to him.

How I live my faith

I have learned that good works are not the root of my faith in Jesus Christ, but that good works are the fruit of that faith. So I have developed a desire to serve others. I have had many responsibilities at church including being a bishop, which is similar to being a pastor or minister of a congregation only without the pay. I currently serve and teach a group of older men as well as look after them and their family's needs. I also serve in the community in various ways such as Emergency Communications Member through amateur radio, election worker, and food preparation for the needy. However, the thing I like to do the most is talk about what I have found through my relationship with my Father in Heaven and his son Jesus Christ. It has made all the difference in the world to me, my wife, and our family. I view things so differently then I did before I found the Mormon Church. Life has not been a bed of roses for us and I can't imagine how I would have handled things without this gospel and where I might have ended up. There is a great peace knowing where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going and then like the Savior, sharing all of this with those who are searching.
