Hi I'm Rebekah...

I'm a graphic designer, a lover of books, a singer, a writer... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As mentioned above, I am a graphic designer and I am completely in love with what I do. Indeed, I am a lover of just about any kind of creative work, whether it be art, books, movies, music and more. I'm a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt and I look forward to becoming a mother someday. Family is such an important part of who I am and what I believe and I feel blessed to know that I can be with my family forever.

Why I am a Mormon

It may be easy enough to say that I'm a Mormon because I was raised in the Church, but that doesn't tell my full story. My conversion to the Church has been a deeply personal and humbling experience and is, by necessity, a continuing process. Each day I learn something new that convinces me again that the Church is true. It is enough for me to say that the Church is the only thing that makes complete sense to me. And the rest of my life makes sense because I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be the true church of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently I play the piano during one of the classes at our church. Singing hymns is a central part of how we worship, so it's nice to be a part of that.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Rebekah...
To answer both questions in one, Mormons or members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe the Bible to be the word of God, as long as it is translated correctly. Much of the language in Holy Scripture is thought by some to be archaic and hard to understand. Because of this, it has become popular in our time for new versions of the scriptures to be translated using modern language. This is done at the risk of changing the meaning of what each author originally wrote. The Mormon Church uses the King James version of the Bible, which we believe to be the most correctly translated version. Show more Show less
