Hi I'm Chris

I am a dad. I am a husband. I love basketball. I speak Chinese. I am an attorney. I work as a grain merchandiser. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a licensed attorney, but work in the grain industry buying, selling, and shipping grain. I enjoy spending time with my familyI and I am huge sports fan, especially basketball.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know The Book of Mormon teaches truth that draws me closer to God. When I read The Book of Mormon for the first time I felt the Holy Ghost witness to me that the book taught correct principles. I felt good when reading it. I believed the stories and events actually happened and were recorded by ancient prophets and could help me in my life. Those feelings have been true with each time I have read The Book of Mormon. I also am a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called by God to re-establish the church of Jesus Christ that Christ established when he walked the earth. Christ's church disintegrated sometime after he and his apostles were killed. The priesthood, the power that Christ had and that he gave to his apostles, was lost from the earth and was given back to Joseph Smith. I know this because I have prayed to know if Joseph Smith actually was a prophet and if his claim to have authority to restore Christ's church was real and have received answers through the witness of Holy Ghost. I am a Mormon because God has a plan for me and for all us and that plan of salvation is taught and understood in its entirety in this church. I am comforted because this knowledge puts all things in the proper perspective.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading my scriptures, praying, going to church, serving in the church, and helping my family learn and live the gospel. I live my faith when I repent or change when I make mistakes. I live my faith when I share what I believe with others and help others.
