Hi I'm Kevin

I grew up in Lindon, UT. I am a Husband and Father trying to do what is best for my family everyday. I believe in positive change.

About Me

I love being a father and husband. I enjoy spending time with my wife and children and when I am far from them I realize just how much they mean to me. I enjoy many outdoors activities as well as sports. My career is centered around technology so I would dare to say I like technology. The tools available today blow my mind when I consider what was available growing up, and I don't really consider myself to be that old (yet).

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and my parents always encouraged my siblings and I to choose correct actions and to live according to the gospel as taught in the LDS Church. I have to honestly say that I followed the teaching of the church out of custom and tradition for a good part of my youth. It took me quite a while to start to realize that I had a personal conviction that the church is true and that I can be a better husband, father, and individual by aligning my life with the the teaching of gospel. That conviction of the truth that I feel has come one piece at a time, sometimes through scripture study and prayer but often I feel it during very common everyday experiences. This "testimony", as we call it in the Church, is a feeling inside that I have learned to recognize telling me that what I am learning about or doing is right. It is this testimony that helps me to be motivated to put myself "under the microscope" looking for ways to improve because I know it is right. And so, even though I grew up in an LDS family and initially followed it because of custom, I now do it of my own choice. There are many times in my life when I could have chosen to do otherwise. In fact there are times in my life where I imagine I could have been more wealthy and prominent but I recognize how at those crucial moments I made the choice to follow what I felt to be right. I can see now, where I could not see as a young man without the hindsight I have now, how living this way brings more happiness to and individual and a family than might otherwise be possible.

How I live my faith

I try to teach my children how to make correct choice, to be kind to others, and how to be responsible for thier own actions. I am the Elder's Quorum (explanation needed) President in our ward unit. I have two counselors to help me as I strive to fill the needs of the families of our ward. I've been the Elder's Quorum President for about 2 months now. Before that I worked with the 14-16 year old scouts.
