Hi I'm Giovanni Roberto

About Me

I've been working in the Airline Business for the last 12 years in a Panamanian Based Airline, first as a Passenger Service Agent, and now working for the IT Department of the Airline. But my education was in the Art and Communication area, I'm a Graphic Design, Advertising and Marketing Major, also I've a Master Degree in International Businees. I've been blessed with some talents, I play the Piano and Sign in a Choir in some of my free time, also love the sport and I workout 5 days a week. I'm a Art History fan and anything related to the nature, science and movies sorround my life. I'm the third son of a single mother, I was raise in Panama where I had live all my life, but as stated before, being an Airline employee opens the doors of the world to you and I've been able to tour the world, almost all continents and had so great experiencies meeting the differents cultures of the world, is just amazing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon since my chilhood my Mom join the Church when I was three, so, I've being all my life a Mormon. As a Mormon child and teenager I had the oportunity to be nourished with a lot a knowledge of the gospel, but even for us who had been grown within the Church is difficult. The time came when I needed to see and know by myself that all the teachings I had received in my childhood and teen years was true. And I did it, and before I decided to serve as an LDS Full Time Missionary I look out for my own testimony of the restored gospel, I read the Book of Mormon, and I prayed to know the true about the book and about this restores gospel..And I can assure you that It's true. While serving my mission and after that that testimony has been always present and had grown. Having the gospel in my life has given me a more wide view of the purpose of life and the kind of decisions I had to take.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days saints you will always had the oportunity to serve others. That's something I'm greatfull for. In the last 15 years I've working as a teacher for the Children and Youth of the Church. I was for 6 years teacher of the kids from 8 to 11 years in the sunday school classes of and organization for children called "Primary". I was just great to work with kids and see them learn the principles and apply them in their lives. For other 8 years I've work with the youth of the church, I'm a leader of the young men from 12 to 18 years and also a Seminary Teacher Daily Gospel Classes taught during school year for youth from 14 to 17. Working with the youth of the Church is just amazing you feel always anew and as the programs for the youth in the Church includes a lot of activities you are always doing something, helping someone and teaching people.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Giovanni Roberto
A testimony is a statement of faith , is what we know is true. The way a "testimony" is adquired is between every person and our Heavenly Father. That "testimony" came after sincerely praying to our Father in Heaven regarding the Gospel of Jesus taught in the Church and the response will come as a feeling in our heart and mind that the teachings are true, but that "testimony" must be adquired individually after praying to received it.
