Hi I'm Jennifer Joy

I'm a mom, army wife, business owner and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom, army wife, business owner, and musician. I design and make handmade wooden toys and puzzles and run my own online shop. I also teach piano lessons, and act as a learning coach for Georgia Cyber Academy. I have 4 beautiful children and a wonderful husband whom I love very much. They are my priority and always take precedence over business and work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I live the teachings of this church, I feel at peace. I'm a mormon because when I closely read the Bible, and the teachings of Christ, and I compare it to the teachings of this church, I find that they are in harmony. I'm a mormon because when I pray to my Father in Heaven to ask him if the things I learn in this church are right, I feel an overwhelming, comforting feeling that they are. I can say that I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly God's church, because I have lived it, I have asked God, and I have felt the spirit testify deep inside of me of the truthfulness of it.

How I live my faith

My husband and I work hard to maintain the spirit of Christ in our home by reading the scriptures to our children each night, and discussing the principles that are in them. We also pray together as a family every day in Family Prayer. We pray over every meal that we have, and we teach our children to always have a prayer in the hearts. We try really hard to keep our home free from things that would distract us from living as Jesus did. We do not attend, view, or participate in anything that is vulgar, immoral, violent, or pornographic in any way. We do not participate in anything that presents immorality or violence as acceptable. We teach our children to have the courage to walk out of a movie, change their music, or turn off a computer, television, or mobile device if what they see or hear drives away the Spirit of the Lord. Living these high standards have made us strong, and our children happy and secure in the knowledge of who they are and what their purpose is in life.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jennifer Joy
Just like in a court of law, to testify of something is to proclaim something that you know to be true. A testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a statement of your knowledge about the truthfulness of the gospel. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jennifer Joy
I believe that God has sent us down here in families, and wants us to return together as families. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ he has made a way for us to be sealed together forever, and that our relationships will continue beyond the grave. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Jennifer Joy
God, our Heavenly Father, and in His son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
