Hi I'm Justin

You can call me Rusty. I'm a Mormon and I joined the Church over 11 years ago.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and incredible little daughter. I love being around them, gardening, reading, and playing sports (when I have the chance). I have my undergrad in Advertising with a Business Management minor. I guess I've always been a little bit of an entrepreneur. When I was 7-8 I would fold different types of paper airplanes and sell them to other students at recess. I would hustle around my neighborhood and find out what chores I could do for people to make money. I'm now pursuing other ventures that keep my life interesting.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised for the most part in Las Vegas. People jokingly refer to it as Sin City and there is some truth to that saying. I grew up in fairly rough areas and saw a lot of things that, if followed, would not lead to a "happily ever after" ending. I was not born a member of The Church and was not very religious—in fact, I considered myself atheist for a while. -I respected mormons though. I knew many and liked to be around them. I had been to other churches growing up, but they just felt fake and empty to me. There was something about those mormons that just seemed so good and so genuine. I had been to church with a couple of these mormon friends when I was younger, but when I was a sophomore in high school I was ready to move ahead. I started going to church and read the Book of Mormon in a few weeks. I knew that book was true and that made the rest of my decisions pretty easy. The Book is true, so Joseph Smith was a prophet, the true Church of Jesus Christ was restored to earth and I wanted to be a part of it. I served a mission and helped others come to the truth. Now I have a wonderful family of my own and thank my Heavenly Father every day for what he has done for me. REAL, lasting happiness is possible. I have found it and would love for you to embrace it as well.

How I live my faith

Everything I do in life I try to align with my beliefs. My motivation is to do everything I can to help build our Heavenly Father's kingdom. -So much that I've made our family motto "Kingdom Builders." This motto always reminds us what is truly important and what we should really be working toward.

What is faith?

Justin
...faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true. -Alma 32:21 (Book of Mormon) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. -Hebrews 11:1 (Bible) Show more Show less
