Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife, an aunt, a grandmother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being a homemaker where I can make my home a joyous place where friends, family and neighbors can feel happiness and love. I like creating both beautiful and practical things with my sewing machine but given unexpected free time I would run to my computer and label and organize pictures of the people and activities that make me so happy. I have just earned the title of Grandmother and it is even better than I was told. There is nothing like the smell and smile of a newborn. The best thing about me, however, is my wonderful husband. We have been married 30 years now, have 7 beautiful children (6 daughters/1son) and each day I grow more in love with him!

Why I am a Mormon

I"m a Mormon because I have come to know of the Plan of Happiness and being LDS puts me on that path. Because of this knowledge of where I came from, why I am here and where I am going I am better able to make good choices that bring happiness and joy to my life. I'm a Mormon because that is where I found the authority to link me with my family forever. I'm a Mormon because it is there that I found the standards by which I can raise my children in love and righteousness. I'm a Mormon because I believe in God, My Eternal Father and His Son, my Savior, Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily as I greet each new beautiful day that God has created and try to be just a little bit better that day. Just a little bit kinder. A little bit more grateful. A little bit more aware of the needs of those around me and how I can follow the example of my Savior and lift their burdens. I have the privilege to teach young women ages 12 to 18, however, I find that they seem to teach me more as I watch them live their faith amid the challenges that surround them. Each day is a blessing that I begin on my knees in prayer to my Father in Heaven asking for guidance, protection, and safety and end on my knees giving thanks to Him for all that I have, all that I am and all that I can become through my Savior, Jesus Christ.
