Hi I'm Jared

I speak Spanish. I am a cook. I think I'm awesome cause I just learned how to juggle. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So I always joke around with people that someone must have mixed up my college application with some smart person's application. I am as average as they come, I haven't taken a math class since 11th grade, and I have an amazingly terrible memory. But during my time serving a full-time mission in Santiago, Chile I came to realize that the great works of this world are not done by geniuses but by very normal, average people just like me. So as much as I'd like to be able to solve the world's economic problems, restore an old mustang, or maybe find a cure for cancer, I realize that God has a plan for me and for the time being it doesn't involve those things. I am a student. I am the youngest of five boys in my family. I am an uncle. And I am a son of divorced parents. We are a family like any other with problems and trials. But I know we are better because of the mountains we have had to climb.

Why I am a Mormon

I think the biggest reason I am still faithful in the gospel is because of the influences and examples of friends, family, and leaders. They have helped through trials, and helped me see the joy this gospel brings to our lives.

How I live my faith

I try every day to have a spiritual experience. Most days I fail. But at the end of the day at least I tried. I know that I am not perfect and neither is anyone else. I just try to give it my all, and then when I fail I allow God to pick up the rest.
