Hi I'm Gina (Nelson) Kramm

About Me

Hi, I'm Gina, When I went to Girls Camp, many many moons ago.. My nickname was Luvbug. At the time I thought it corny, but now looking back, it was spot on. I love music and poetry. I am the kind of girl that cries when I am happy, sad or mad. Thankfully they are mostly joyful tears. My soulmate and best-friend can vouch for that! I have 4 Brothers and 4 Sisters. Wonderful nieces and nephews, I also have 2 dogs and a crazy cat! I am definitely not afraid to get silly. Aside from that, I am passionate about my belief in God and in our Savior Jesus Christ. I am an administrative assistant. More than that, I am a wife, daughter, sister and aunt. I am glad that I have had the opportunity to serve in the church. I have served in the presidency of the Young Women's organization, as a Teacher of a variety of age groups. I feel that teaching is the best way to get schooled. Another major hobby of mine is Family History Research!! It is amazing for a number of reasons. My favorite is how it draws family together. It teaches me a great deal about myself and where I came from. My grandmother also loved it, and I only regret that I didn't catch the genealogy bug until an adult.

Why I am a Mormon

A humble young boy of 14, felt he lacked wisdom as to what church he should join and went into a secluded grove near his home an prayed to know which church he should join. God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ appeared to him in that grove and told him to join none of them. That he would restore the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. Which he did do. I believe the Joseph Smith Junior was a Prophet and that we have prophets and Apostles today. That the windows of heaven are open and the each and every one of us has the capacity to receive personal revelation from our Father in heaven. I know that when I am abiding by the precepts of this the restored gospel and living in harmony with the teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ there is a special comfort that Jesus promised that we can have in our own lives, the Holy Spirit/The Comforter. We are all imperfect and will at one time or another fall short or drift from the path, but our loving Savior prepared for us a way that we can return to the fold. I know this is true first hand and feel doubly blessed that I have been given this precious gift from our Father in Heaven called the Atonement. Jesus Christ lived an example of what pure love is, he died for my sins and rose from the grave and was resurrected that we too will have this opportunity to be resurrected too and have Eternal Life. Sure, I was born to a Mormon family and, in that regard, things may seem to come easy to me in. But we all have our struggles and our own choices in life. Our savior's extends to all of God's Children. It may be hard for some of you to imagine a loving Father in Heaven, especially if your own home life is not what you consider to have been ideal but please know that we came to this life to gain experience and to learn and grow. Our Savior teaches us a little at a time and for good reason, if we had all the answers at once, we couldn't walk by Faith and Faith is how we grow.

How I live my faith

I feel my Savior's love all around me. I feel this passage of Scripture Expresses it beautifully.. Mosiah 18:8‒9 8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another's burdens, that they may be light; 9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life--

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Gina (Nelson) Kramm
When ye are in the service of your fellow beings.. Ye are only in the service of your GOD. I myself have found myself at the giving end and receiving end of charity. Giving has always been natural to me. Receiving it, asking for it, is another story. I have to say there have been many instances that I humbled myself and asked the Lord in a prayer for help with something, only to receive a phone call, a note or a knock at the door from someone that had me pop in their mind at that moment. Other times, the answer has come a little more slowly, especially if I was being to stubborn to see the answer/lifeline dangling right before me. I feel a special kinship with my Savior when I am following his teachings and helping others. You might think that you have never performed an act of charity in your life, it could be as simple as a smile to a stranger, added patience at the checkout line in a busy store, helping someone without having to be asked, Seeing a need and filling it. A big one for me growing up was the example set to me by my teachers and leaders at church and school, that went out of their way to show love and guide me in my life... Helping me to realize my talents understand my own infinite potential. I've participated in humanitarian projects too, helping make hygiene kits sent all over the world or as close as a local battered women's shelter. I find counting my own blessings easier and my own burden light, when I love my neighbor. Show more Show less
