Hi I'm Cory

I'm an entrepreneur and outdoors enthusiast, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an attorney and entrepreneur by trade, and enjoy spending my free time outdoors, whether I'm sailing, spear-fishing, skiing, mountain biking, or hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born into a practicing Mormon family, I have made the conscientious decision to continue practicing my faith because of the tremendous joy and peace that it brings into my life. In Matthew 7:20, we learn that we can know the truthfulness of a prophet "by their fruits." The joy and peace that I experience as a result of my participation in the Mormon faith are the fruits of the gospel restored by God and Jesus Christ through Joseph Smith, and through this joy and peace, I know that Joseph Smith restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means a lot to me: serving others, learning from others, remembering each day what God and His son Jesus Christ have done for me, and making covenants with God that allow me to grow closer to Him. The opportunities to serve and work along side fellow members of my congregation are of particular value to me, as they are of utmost importance in my efforts to serve and love God. As a member of the church, I've enjoyed many opportunities to serve, from organizing service projects in the local community to instructing Sunday School. I currently serve in the leadership of one of my congregation's men's organizations, where I am truly blessed by the opportunity to learn from and serve my brothers on a weekly basis, as we all work together to grow closer to God.
